Each piece in our lacquerware collection is handcrafted in Vietnam, using the same traditional techniques that have been employed for centuries to create unique, beautiful, and durable objects.

From harvesting the tree sap that is processed into lacquer resins to sanding and customizing the wooden base, every step in the production process is carried out by hand. The lacquer artisans apply the Caspari designs to the wood, add any gold leaf or silver leaf and hand-painted accents, and then finish the piece with multiple layers of high-gloss lacquer. These are carefully applied to protect and seal the surface.

The great care and attention given to every detail result in a lacquerware collection of exceptional beauty and quality.

Because each item is handcrafted, slight variations in color, finish, or design may occur. These subtle variations make each piece unique and should be considered a hallmark of authentic craftsmanship and a true work of art in itself.
